Disclosure. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

I saw this disclaimer recently: Disclosure. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

As I thought about that, it occurred to me that as a Christian, I can also have a personal disclaimer...it would go something like this:

Disclosure: Past failure does not guarantee future failure.

When it comes to following Jesus there will be times in our lives when we fall short of what He wants for us.  It is at those times when we're most vulnerable to Satan's lies and in hearing him tell us...you failed before...you will fail again...you're a failure.  Friends, nothing could be further from the truth.

Failure is not fatal nor is failure final.  God has the last word...always. 

Remember on Palm Sunday, people thought that Jesus had failed as well...afterward they arrested him and hung Him on a cross to die...people all thought it was over...but then God had the last word!  He raised him from the dead and He now reigns and will come back to get us...that is how God works.

So look at your own life and KNOW that your past failures are no indication of future failures and to put another way: Your past failures are simply stones with which God will build His kingdom!

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
